FYSA E License Coaches At The Chain Of Lakes January 27-29, 2012

Titusville Soccer Club hosted a very successful E License coaching course at the Chain of Lakes over the January 27-29, 2012 weekend, with a bumper turnout of 35 participants and one coach coming from as far away as the Panhandle and several from Miami. There was a large contingent from Brevard because South Brevard FC (Palm Bay), is hosting the D License this month.

We also had international representation as Edil Pavon from Honduras, who helps coach their National Under 17 Men's Team and Real España, one of the top professional teams in Honduras attended and has actually taken three courses at the Chain of Lakes and says he loves coming to our club because of our facilities and our hospitality.

NSCAA Goalkeeping Coaching Courses Level I and II Diplomas Chain of Lakes, December 3 & 4, 2011

Titusville Soccer Club successfully hosted the NSCAA GK Level I & II Diplomas this past weekend with 79 coaches participating, with 44 taking the Level I course and 35 the Level II. Coaches came from all over Florida, as well as St. Vincent's in the Caribbean, which is part of the archipelago adjoining Barbados, as well as Georgia, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas.

We had eleven representing Titusville and they included player/coach Carlos Gonzalez; coaches Tom Holodak, Doug Hunter, Juan Ocasio, David Pless, and Steven Weaver. The TSC goalkeepers were Alex Dirschka, Aaron Raulerson and Dallas Stover and two other of our coaches took advantage to use the event as a refresher course and they were Joe Gladwish and Jonathan Lake.

The instructor was Jay Golomb of Jacksonville, who also represents the Jacksonville Destroyers PDL pro team and he did an outstanding job over the weekend.

There must have been 60 people out there on Saturday and another 45 on Sunday, as other coaches, goalkeepers and players joined in and we certainly had a packed house. There were several attending coaches from BYSL and high school goalkeepers from throughout Brevard County and the out of towners were very impressed with the facilities at the Chain of Lakes.

Two of the coaches were Peter Duckworth of Melbourne Beach Tsunami, who used to coach at the Manchester United Academy in England and former Titusville resident John Cope who now resides in Texas and is the former US Men's National Team Equipment Manager and performed that role with the team at the 1998 World Cup in France. There were also some blue chip college bound high school goalkeepers, so we had quite a talented group.

The weekend was a triumph for all those involved and it was another opportunity for Titusville Soccer Club to shine. Coaches left the facility happy that they got what they came for; received top notch instruction and garnered a voluminous amount of knowledge and had fun into the bargain. We're already accepting applications for the FYSA -E- License Coaching Course, which we'll be hosting at the end of January and is scheduled for the last weekend of the month January 27-29, 2012.
